The Government of Russia has endorsed new rules of recruitment of migrants for work in the Moscow oblast.

Employers now must ensure transportation of migrants, registration of their documents, and arrange accommodation and meals of them.

“Organizations interested in recruitment of foreign labor force need to ensure transportation of migrants, registration of their permit documents, arrange accommodation and meals of them, and observation by them [migrants] of sanitary and epidemiological rules in Russia,” deputy head of the Moscow Oblast Government, Roman Karatayev noted.

The algorithm has reportedly been developed by the Russian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The website of the Moscow Oblast Government notes that there has been a shortage of labor resources in various sectors of the economy due to restrictive measures taken in 2020.

It is assumed that about 10,000 labor migrants will be required for work in the region’s construction sector and in the field of housing and communal services alone.
