Rahmon inaugurates a number of social facilities in Istaravshan, gives gifts to orphan children

President Emomali Rahmon, who currently on his working visit to the northern Sughd province, yesterday visited the city of Istaravshan and a number of villages subordinate to it, according to the Tajik president’s official website.  

In Zarhalol jamoat (the third-level administrative divisions, similar to communes or municipalities), Emomali Rahmon attended an official opening ceremony of a new building of the Mother and Child Support Center “Farzandi Vatan.”

The Center provides all necessary conditions for living, education and treatment of 150 orphan children, left without guardianship and suffering from various diseases.  

While visiting the city of Istaravshan, the head of state gave gifts 110 orphan children and children from low-income families.

The president also attended an official opening of a private kindergarten “Khursandi” in Istaravshan.

The kindergarten to accommodate 200 children has been built by local entrepreneur Askar Eshonov.

The head of state then inaugurated a 20-room hotel and service center in Zarhalol jamoat.

Yesterday, Emomali Rahmon also visited Mazbut, Mamour S, Tsitadel (Citadel) and Tursunboy-boo farming units and gave a start to the operation of the water supply line for irrigation of 100 hectares of agricultural lands in these farming units.
