The Dushanbe Administration yesterday sent humanitarian aid to the southern city of Kulob and nearby districts, which have been affected by recent mudslides triggered by heavy rains on May 11.  

According to the Dushanbe Administration press center, the assistance included 300 tons of building materials, 170 tons of food products and 1,200 beddings.  

Recall, the mudslides have killed three persons in the city of Kulob and three other persons in Shamsiddin-Shohin district. 

In Kulob, the mudslides and floods reportedly damaged residential buildings located along Zavod and Sadikov streets as well as in Faizobodi Bolo, Pervomay, Rahimzoda and Pashadara mahallas.

In Shamsiddin-Shohin district, floods and mudslides partially damaged 26 houses and ancillary buildings in Porvor village.  Besides, household plots and rural areas were damaged by the mudslides.   

In Muminobod district, the mudslides partially damaged residential buildings, household plots, bridges and rural roads.

In Danghara district, the mudslide partially damaged a bridge on the road connecting Danghara and Levakant.
