And yesterday, because of the squally wind in the country, trees fell and the roofs of houses were blown away.

An earthquake was registered on the territory of Tajikistan today, June 1, at about 06:26 local time.

According to the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the country, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 293 km southeast of Dushanbe, 43 km northeast of Khorog, reported by the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense.

The strength of the tremors in the epicenter was 4-5 points, in the city of Khorog – 4 points. There are no casualties or destructions, the Committee for Emergency Situations notes.

Over the past day in Tajikistan due to strong winds, trees were uprooted, power grids and roofs of houses were damaged.

Thus, on May 31, due to a strong squally wind in the rural jamoats of the Vose district of the Khatlon region, electric poles were damaged, the roofs of residential buildings, secondary schools, medical centers, auxiliary structures were partially destroyed. No victims.

In the Temurmalik region, over 200 households in 7 jamoats also suffered from strong winds. Regional Emergency Situations Commissions work on the ground.
