The President of the Federation of Migrants of Russia, Vadim Kozhenov, says a new decree on temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Russia during the period of overcoming the consequences of the spread of COVID-19 contains a number of norms that will allow fixing the rights of migrants.

Since expulsion is prohibited, a foreign citizen, even if he has lived in Russian illegally for many years, will be fined  but will be put on the migration register.

The head of the Federation of Migrants of Russia has called on all illegal migrants to legalize, because most likely such an unprecedented relaxation for migrants will not last long.

Recall, Russia extends the term of temporary stay for migrants until September 30, if they committed no offences.
