Outgoing British Ambassador to Tajikistan Matthew Lawson conferred here on August 11 with Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

During the meeting, the parties reportedly exchanged views on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom.

At the end of the meeting, Muhriddin reportedly expressed gratitude to Mr. Lawson for his contribution to expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom and wished him success in his future activities.   

Mr. Matthew Lawson was appointed Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan in June 2019 in succession to Mr. Hugh Philpott OBE who was transferred to another Diplomatic Service appointment.
