And as a result, the problems in Afghanistan today have affected all of humanity, he said. Emomali Rahmon, speaking today at a solemn meeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence, said that the instability and tragedy in Afghanistan is the result of foreign intervention.

The President noted that observations and analyzes show that "over the past month, the situation in this country, unfortunately, has become even more complex and tragic, and causes serious concern among the countries of the region and the world".

"The people of this country, who have lived in a state of war and instability for more than forty years, have recently faced major challenges in the field of security and social protection. In this regard, I would like to reiterate that the people of Afghanistan with its thousand-year history, civilization and culture are not to blame for this tragic situation, – noted the Tajik leader. – The instability and tragedy that befell the people of this ancient country are the result of the intervention of foreign countries, that is, the actions of interested parties in the region and the world, which continue today".

"The people of this country are not to blame for such a difficult and disastrous situation. I am surprised that all international human rights institutions are silent and do not put forward any initiatives in support of the rights of the Afghan people", – continued Rahmon.

He stressed that Tajikistan supports the early restoration of peace in this country, "with which we share a common language and culture, through the creation of an inclusive government that takes into account the interests of all national minorities, the opinion of all people, adhering to respect for the rights of citizens within the framework of the norms adopted by the world community with the key role of the UN in advancing this process".

The President of Tajikistan is convinced that indifference to the fate of Afghanistan will lead to increased violence, deterioration of the lives of his people, the outbreak of an imposed civil war on the scale of the 90s of the last century, and a humanitarian catastrophe.
