As of September 20, about 40% of the adult population (18 years and above) were immunized against COVID-19 in Tajikistan, reports the operational headquarter.

According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic, by the specified date 2 million 307 thousand 140 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, or 39.6% of the total adult population.

It is noted that 1 million 565 thousand 281 people received the second dose of the vaccine, and 99.6% of the capital's adult population was vaccinated against coronavirus in the city of Dushanbe.

Vaccination campaign for citizens over 18 started in Dushanbe on June 25.
