The total volume of Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover in January-August of this year amounted to about $ 4.1 billion, which is 33% more than in the same period of 2020, сообщает статистическое ведомство страны.

The trade balance (the difference between selling and buying) remains negative, but exports are already inferior to imports not three times, as it was before the pandemic, but only by 54% (by $ 1.2 billion).

At the end of 2019, the export of the republic amounted to $ 1.1 billion, and imports – 3.3 billion.

For eight months of this year, products worth more than $ 1.4 billion were exported, which is 37% more than in January – August 2020.

Import of goods to the republic amounted to over $ 2.6 billion, which is 31.4% more than last year.
