Uzcard unified republican processing center sent a message to commercial banks about the temporary suspension of currency exchange at ATMs due to the increase in the number of cases of accepting counterfeit bills of 50 and 100 dollars.

When the exchange of dollars at ATMs resumes, Uzcard was not informed.

In Uzbekistan, smugglers who are trying to import counterfeit banknotes from Turkey, as well as neighboring states, are regularly detained. In addition, law enforcement officers often identify craftsmen who print banknotes on ordinary printers.
