Seventeen students of the Khujand-based Lyceum for Gifted Students will participate in the final round of the Copernicus 2022 Olympiad that will take place in Huston, Texas USA from January 7-9, 2022.

“26 our students participated in the first round of the Copernicus Olympiad that was held on October 31 in online format and 17 of them went into the final round that will be held in Texas, USA in January next year,” Surayo Nematova, Principal of the Lyceum, told Asia-Plus in an interview.  

Copernicus Olympiad is an international competition platform, in which students from 5th to 12th grade compete in mathematics and astronomy.  Copernicus Olympiad aims to increase students’ interest in science.

By participating in the Copernicus Olympiad, young intellectuals develop their academic skills, unlock their potential, and make friends from all around the world.
