An owner of a construction company and his five accomplices have got lengthy jail terms of a large-scale drug trafficking.

The Supreme Court sentenced Azizullo Abdulloyev, the owner of the Bunyodkori Asr Company, to 30 years in prison on November 25.

Besides, under a ruling handed over by the Supreme Court, all Abdulloyev’s houses are confiscated.

Five his accomplices got lengthy jail terms.  Azamat Tulaganov, Siyovush Sodiqov and Buron Samadov were sentenced to 28 years in prison each.  Murod Khoujayev was sentenced to 25 years ad Sorbon Sabzqadamov was sentenced to 19 years in prison.

The court's ruling was nearly identical to the prosecution's earlier demand for prison terms ranging from 20 to 30 years.

Radio Liberty’s Tajik Service, known locally as Radio Ozodi, says Azizullo Abdulloyev and his accomplices are charged with a large-scale drug trafficking.  Almost 500 kilograms of narcotic drugs worth about 6 million U.S. dollars have been confiscated from them.
