Tajikistan’s Embassy in Kiev is drawing up the list of our citizens wishing to leave Ukraine and considering the issue of evacuation of Tajik nationals from Ukraine in case of necessity, Tajik Ambassador to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrizoda told Asia-Plus by phone Thursday afternoon.

In connection with situation that has developed in Ukraine, Tajikistan’s diplomatic mission in Kiev has switched to 24/7 operation, the ambassador noted.

“Currently, several thousand Tajiks live in Ukraine on the territory of Ukraine and the Embassy is in constant contact with them.  A 24-hour hotline — +380933361040 – now operates for nationals of Tajikistan,” Ambassador Nazrizoda said.

Regarding the information in social networks about the explosion in Borispol, the ambassador said, “Tajik citizens were not injured in that incident.”
