The President of Tajikistan sent a telegram of condolences to Pakistani President Orif Alvi on Monday.
«In connection with this heavy grief, I express my deep and sincere condolences to you, family members, all relatives and friends of the victims, as well as to the friendly people of Pakistan», – telegram says.
Pakistani authorities report at least 1,061 deaths, about 1 million houses damaged.
Floods affect 33 million people in all four provinces.
According to Pakistani authorities, this year's flood situation is worse than in 2010, when 1,700 people died as a result of the disaster.
