A car transporting liquefied gas exploded on the 46th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway as a result of an accident. This was reported on the page of the branch of the company "Innovative Road Solutions LTD" (IRS) in Tajikistan on Facebook.
«The incident occurred this morning when a car carrying liquefied gas was involved in an accident due to brake failure. The result was an explosion», – noted in the message.
As a result, the movement of traffic on this section of the road is temporarily restricted.
According to the Committee for Emergency Situations of Tajikistan, the "gas carrier" collided with an Asian Express bus, in which there were passengers heading to Khujand.
The driver of the car with gas died on the spot, no other victims are yet known. Relevant government agencies are at the scene.
