Today, at the 46th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway, a Dulan liquefied gas vehicle overturned into the Varzob River due to a failure of the brake system and exploded, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred at 10:30 a.m.

As a result of the explosion, two people were killed, one was injured, and 2 more cars were partially damaged.

The investigation team is investigating at the scene, the law enforcement agency said.

However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not indicate which cars are in question, because in the message of the department there is not a word about them, and who became the victim of this accident is also not reported.

Meanwhile, the branch of the company "Innovative Road Solutions LTD", which is responsible for the maintenance of the Dushanbe-Chanak road, reported a new version of what happened.

"After the brakes failed, the car drove for almost two kilometers and then fell into the river. The driver jumped out of the car and was taken to the hospital with injuries. Unfortunately, after the explosion, for reasons that will later be clarified by the relevant authorities, two passengers of two cars died at the scene due to the flames of the exploding car. The woman was also hit by a bus and died. our more people were hospitalized with injuries", – noted in the company's announcement.

Rumors that said car crashed into a bus are groundless. The bus fell into a roadside ditch, its passengers, including 17 foreigners, are safe and sound, the report says.

The management and employees of the branch of the company express their condolences to the relatives of the victims and ask drivers to pay attention to the technical condition of the cars before the trip.

Currently, the road is open, regular traffic of all types of transport is provided.
