ladimir Sherstov, a 40-year-old resident of Dushanbe, was found guilty of raping and murdering an underage girl and sentenced to 29 years in prison, the country's Prosecutor General's Office reports..

The verdict was passed by the court of the Firdavsi district of the capital.

According to the materials of the investigation, on February 28, in a state of intoxication, a man raped and then strangled a girl who lived with her mother in his apartment. The incident occurred in a strange house in which he was doing repairs. The corpse of the girl was hidden under the “kurpachi” (national blanket) and fled the scene of the crime.

10 days later, on March 9, the body of a 14-year-old girl was found with signs of violent death.

When the owner came to check his apartment after the repair, he smelled an unpleasant smell, which had previously also bothered the neighbors living in this house. He decided to give the carpet for washing. When he lifted the chest that stood on it, the corpse of the girl fell out of the blanket, which was wrapped and hidden among the kurpachi on the chest.
