The Presidents of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the conflict on the border of the two countries on the sidelines of the SCO summit taking place in the city of Samarkand, the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

According to the press service, the leaders of the two countries agreed to instruct the relevant structures to ceasefire and withdraw forces and assets from the line of contact.

According to the agreements, the chairmen of the State Committee for National Security of the two countries will work on the spot (conflict zone), a commission has been created to investigate the circumstances and causes of the incident.

An agreement was also reached on accelerating the work of the Intergovernmental Commission of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border, the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The Tajik side has not yet officially announced the meeting of the presidents and its results.
