The Collective Security Treaty Organization welcomes the signing by Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan of the Protocol to stabilize the situation in the border areas.

«The CSTO Secretariat welcomes the signing by the heads of the competent authorities of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan of the Protocol of the meeting of delegations of the Kyrgyz and Tajik sides to stabilize the situation in the border areas of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan», noted in the message of the CSTO, posted on the official website of the Organization.

It is noted that this document was signed in order to prevent provocative actions, prevent conflicts, as well as ensure peace and stability in the border areas. We positively assess the agreement of the parties to speed up the work aimed at completing the design description of the line of passage of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in the remaining sections.
