The President of Tajikistan sent condolences to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in connection with the loss of life as a result of the shooting at the Izhevsk school on September 26.

The telegram, the text of which is given today by the press service of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, in particular notes:

«Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, with a feeling of deep sadness, I perceived the tragic news of the inhuman act of an armed attack on one of the schools in the city of Izhevsk, which resulted in the death and serious injury of dozens of children and adult citizens of the Russian Federation. I express to you, the families and friends of the victims, our sincere condolences and words of sympathy. Wishing all the injured a speedy recovery».

On Monday morning, a tragedy occurred at school No. 88 in Izhevsk – an unknown person in black clothes entered the building and opened fire on students. According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, neo-Nazi symbols were on his clothes.

According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, 17 people died, including 11 children and 6 adults. 24 people were injured, including 22 children.

The shooter committed suicide. According to the IC, this is a former graduate of this school, Artem Kazantsev, born in 1988.
