Rahmon shakes up transport officials

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, who is also Head of the Government, yesterday introduced a number of staff changes in the transportation sector, according to the Tajik president’s official website,    

By government’s decree Dilshod Ismatullozoda was relieved of his post of Director General of the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Tajik Air (Tajikistan’s national air carrier) in connection with transfer to another job. 

Dilshod Ismatullozoda served as Director-General of OJSC Tajik Air since January 2019.  Prior to this he had served as Deputy Head of President’s Executive Office since May 8, 2017.

By another government’s decree Parviz Shodmonzoda, who had previously served as Deputy Director of Bokhtar International Airport, was appointed to head OJSC Tajik Air. 

Besides, by government’s decree Sherali Ganjalzoda was relieved of his post of Head of the State Service for Supervision of Transport at the Ministry of Transport in connection with transfer to another job.

Ganjalzoda had served as Head of the State Service for Supervision of Transport since May 14, 2019.  Prior to this he had served as First Deputy Minister of Transport.

Daler Qurbonzoda was appointed to head the State Service for Supervision of Transport.
