The court of the Shohmansur metropolitan area held a regular meeting yesterday on the case of journalist Abdullo Gurbati. His lawyer Abdurakhmon Sharipov insisted on the unsubstantiated accusations against the charges against him.

The trial took place in the administrative building of pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice behind closed doors.

The lawyer provided the court with justification for the doubts of the defense side about the sufficiency of evidence and the validity of the charges in the case. He asked the court to acquit Gurbati and release him from the courtroom.

The court, after hearing the speech of the defense counsel, adjourned the hearing to the next day. When the next hearing will take place has not been specified.
