IBT official says Halyk Bank’s subsidiary in Tajikistan will continue serving customers on all its obligations

Bahrom Beknazarov, the head of the Marketing Department of the International Bank of Tajikistan (IBT), has commented on the purchase on the stock of the Halyk Bank Tajikistan (HBT), Halyk Bank’s subsidiary in Tajikistan.  

He, in particular, noted that they will continue serving HBT’s customers on all its obligations.  “No significant changes are currently planned,” Beknazarov said.  

According to him, they have also discussed some aspects of further development.  “It was about investments, expansion of the branch network, creation of new jobs, digitalization of banking transactions and other aspects of its activities,” IBT official said, adding that changes in the organizational structure are not yet planned.  

“As far the personnel are concerned, there will be no cuts at the moment,” Beknazarov noted.  

“The bank will continue operating in normal code; besides, it is planned to inject new investments and expand the branch network.”  

It is to be noted that in accordance with the regulations, they have the right to rename HBT in two years.
