Some Russian media reports say ticketing services have recorded growth in demand for flights from Russia to the near abroad.  Citing ticketing services Tutu.ru and OneTwoTrip, RBC says the demand for air tickets from Russia to Tajikistan has increased several times.

This year, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have reportedly become the most popular foreign flight destinations among Russians.  The top 10 also included Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Georgia.

Tajikistan reportedly has the largest share of passengers having been flown from Russia abroad this year – 17.22 percent.  Compared to the last year (4.89 percent), this indicator has increased several times.

At the same time, an average check for a round-trip ticket on air routes between Russia and Tajikistan has reportedly risen 11 percent this year, reaching 27,611 Russian rubles.

According to the Russian-language financial encyclopedia (https://nesrakonk.ru), the average check is an indicator that provides detailed information on the average amount of sales per customer.

In general, the share of passengers per “Near Abroad” and “Far Abroad” segments has reportedly increased twice – from 5.7% to 11.4% and 1.0% to 2.0%, respectively.

Meanwhile, the share of the European direction has decreased from 0.7 percent to 0.5 percent, according to RBC

The ticketing services note that such dynamics is connected with the fact that there are more direct flights to the near abroad countries, while the number of flights to Europe has decreased this year.
