On August 8, 2023, Mr. Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, Resident Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Tajikistan met with Mr. Zakir Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the First Microfinance Bank (FMFB) of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for further development of the FMFB in Tajikistan and its reform in connection with the introduction of new services for bank customers. It was emphasized that despite the political and economic crises that affected a number of countries, the banking market of Tajikistan demonstrated sustainable growth. The banking sector, as always, plays a key role in socio-economic development and has an increasingly significant impact on the development of the economy.

In the face of growing competition, the bank is committed to the development and implementation of digital technologies, which will significantly speed up and improve the quality of services provided and thus, contribute to the development of the banking sector in Tajikistan.
