Over the past day, three deaths of people in the country's reservoirs have been registered on the territory of Tajikistan.

According to the press service of the Emergency Service of the republic, on the afternoon of August 20, a 19-year-old resident of Rakhshonzamin village of Dangara district fell and drowned while taking water from the VD-3 canal due to non-compliance with safety rules.

"His body was discovered by the local population and handed over to relatives," the Committee said.

The second case occurred on the territory of the city of Vakhdat. On the evening of August 20, an 11-year-old resident of Dzhangalobad-3 village drowned while swimming in an inter-village canal.

"Emergency responders immediately went to the scene and began search operations. The work continued until almost midnight, but no results were given. In the morning today, on August 21, the work was resumed," the CES reported.

The third accident occurred in the north of the country. On August 19, a 53-year-old resident of Khujai Panj village in the suburb of Penjikent drowned while swimming in a lake in the village of Shing ("Haftkul") due to non-compliance with safety rules.
