China will give $2 million for the construction of a conference-hall in the complex of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan

During the official visit of the Chairman of the Upper chamber of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali to China, were signed the documents aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries, the Dushanbe Mayor's Office reports.

On August 21, during the meeting of Rustam Emomali with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji, issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and China were discussed.  

The signing ceremony of several key documents was also held during the meeting.

Thus, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Zavki Zavkizoda, and the Deputy chairman of the Agency for the Development of International Cooperation of China, Deng Bo Qin, signed an exchange letter on the allocation of $ 2 million to the People's Republic of China for the construction of a conference hall in the government complex of Tajikistan.

An exchange letter was also reportedly signed:

– about the previous technical study of the "Smart City" project in Dushanbe,

– about the construction and reconstruction of roads and 4 new overpasses in the capital,

– repair and reconstruction of the border crossing of Tajikistan and China "Kulma-Karasu"

– reconstruction and construction of a road section from the village of Varshnor in the Shugnan district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region to the border checkpoint "Kulma-Karasu".

In addition, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in China, Zohir Saidzoda, and the Deputy Minister of Trade of the People's Republic of China, Lin Ji, presented an act on the transfer of municipal construction transport equipment provided free of charge as assistance to Dushanbe from China.

Rustami Emomali, who started his trip to China on August 21, got acquainted with the activities of the “Smart City” Exhibition and Testing Center in the Haidian district of Beijing.

Also, Rustami Emomali and Beijing Chairman Yin Yun signed a Memorandum of Friendship and cooperation between the Dushanbe City Hall and the Beijing Administration.
