President commissions the rehabilitated highway connecting Hulbuk, Temurmalik and Kangurt

On Friday October 20 during his visit to Khatlon’s Vose district, President Emomali Rahmon commissioned the rehabilitated Hulbuk-Temurmalik-Kangurt highway.

The Tajik president’s official website says this 60-kilometer highway has been rehabilitated under financial support of the Asian-Development Bank (ADB).

The work on rehabilitation of this road reportedly began on November 1, 2021.   

Recall, Chinese company has been selected to rehabilitation the Hulbuk-Temurmalik-Kangurt highway in Khatlon province.

Tajik Minister of Transport, Mr. Azim Ibrohim, and representative of China State Construction Xinjiang Construction Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd, Mr. Ma Yowung, signed an agreement on this subject in Dushanbe on August 30, 2021.    

ADB has awarded a US$67.49 million grant for rehabilitation of the Hulbuk-Temurmalik-Kangurt road and the Tajik government's contribution to the project amounts to 28.1 million U.S. dollars.
