By president’s decrees issued on January 27 heads of five districts in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) have been replaced.   

Umedjon Nosirzoda, who had previously served as GBAO deputy governor, was appointed acting head of GBAO’s Darvoz district, replacing Saidburhon Abdurahmonzoda, who was relieved of the post of head of Darvoz district in connection with transfer to another job.  

Asia-Plus failed to find more detailed information about Mr. Nosirzoda.  

Ilhom Ahmadzoda, who had previously served as head of Khuroson district in Khalton province, was appointed acting head of GBAO’s Rushan district, replacing Farrukh Dodikhudoyev, who was relieved of his post of head of Rushan district in connection with transfer to another job. 

Ahmadzoda had served as head of Khuroson district since November 2020.  Prior to this, he had served as first deputy head of Khuroson district since 2019.  

In 2009-2019, Ahmadzoda held various positions in agriculture in the Khuroson district administration. 

Ilhom Ahmadzoda was born on December 18, 1979 in Vose district of Khatlon province.  He graduated from the Tajikistan Agricultural University in 2004 and the Tajik State Finance and Economics in 2019.

Ahmadzoda is married with two children.   

Komil Shoismatullozoda was appointed acting head of GBAO’s Shugnan district, replacing Juma Juma, who was relieved of his post of head of Shugnan district in connection with transfer to another job. 

Asia-Plus failed to find information about Shoismatullozoda.  

Lashkar Safarzoda, who had previously served as deputy head of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection at President’s Executive Office, was appointed acting head of GBAO’s Roshtqala district, replacing Azam Shamirzoda, who was relieved of his post of head of Roshtqala district tin connection with transfer to another job.

Safarzoda had served as deputy head of the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection at President’s Executive Office since 2022. 

Prior to this, he had served as chief specialist at the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of President’s Executive Office since 2020. 

In 2019-2020, Safarzoda worked as manager of the Department for the Development of the Unified Land Policy at the Land Committee.  

In 2018, he served as head of the Land Committee in Faizobod district.

Lashkar Safarzoda was born on October 17, 1978 in Muminobod district of Khatlon province.  HE graduated from the Tajik Agricultural University in 2010.     

Lashkar Safarzoda is married with five children. 

Anvar Imatsho, former deputy governor of GBAO, was appointed acting head of GBAO’s Ishkashim district, replacing Muso Mirzozoda, who was relieved of his post of head of Ishkashim district in connection with transfer to another job.

Anvar Imatsho had served as deputy governor GBAO since 2018. 

In 2015-2018, Imatsho served as head of the Administration Directorate of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population.

In 2014-2015, Anvar Imatsho served as Director of Dushanbe-based Vocational and technical School No 5.  

Anvar Imatsho was born in Dushanbe on November 10, 1978.  He graduated from the Tajik National University Faculty in 2000 majoring in world economics. Женат.

Anvar Imatsho is married.
