The sixth grade student at Hotam & PV Lyceum (Hisor branch) in Tajikistan, Shokhrukh Firaidonov has won the International Neo Science Olympiad Grand Final in the “coding” category.
The International Neo Science Olympiad Grand Final took place in New York on June 6-12.
The mathematics and computer science teacher at this lyceum, Saidakabr Aminov, says the 12-year-old Shokhrukh Firaidonov has taken the first place in the “coding” category among the sixth grade students, winning two gold medals and one bronze medal.
According to him 14 students of Hotam & PV Lyceum (grades 4 to 9) – Bunyod Safarov, Sanjar Rashidov, Khusrav Abdulloyev, Ishoq Boboyev, Dilovar Ikromov, Parviz Mirzo, Shokhrukh Firaidonov, Abubakr ishanv, Mirazam Mirsharifzoda, Zebuniso Shahbozova, Aliya Jalilova, Salva Qandiqova, Amaliya Khairiddinova, and Samira Davatova — participated in the International Neo Science Olympiad Grand Final, wining 8 gold, 4 silver and 14 bronze medals.
“Sanjar Rashidov won gold medal in the “mathematics” category among the seventh grade students,” Aminov told Asia-Plus.
The International Neo Science Olympiad is conducted in the following categories: coding (grades 3-11); mathematics (grades 3-11); natural science (grades 3-8); physics (grades 9-11); chemistry (grades 9-11); and biology (grades 9-11).
