Young Tajik judokas have won two golds and a bronze at the Asian Youth and Cadets Cups that took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan in Kazakhstan.  

The Asian Youth Cup was held from July 6 to July 7, and the Cadets Asian Cup took place in Almaty from July 4 to July 5. 

A total 50 young promising judokas represented Tajikistan in both tournaments. The tournaments provided young judokas not only with the opportunity to showcase their skills but also to earn important ranking points, which could play a decisive role in their future sports careers.

321 athletes, including 209 men and 112 women, from seven countries of the world competed for medals at the Asian Youth Cup.         

Tajik judoka Muhiddin Asadulloyev won a gold medal among young judokas, finishing first in -73kg weight category.  

375 athletes, including 248 men and 127 women, from nine countries of the world participated in the Cadets Asian Cup.   

Tajik judoka Loiq Qutbiddinov won a gold medal among cadets in -60 kg weight category, and Abubakr Abdujalilzoda won a bronze medal, finishing third in -73kg weight category.   

Ergash Mahmadbekov, Vice-Chairman of the Tajikistan Judo Federation, says, "I especially want to highlight Asadulloyev's performance, who demonstrated a high level of wrestling, tactical maturity, and won almost all his opponents ahead of time.  I would like to remind you that the Youth World Championship will be held in Dushanbe this fall, and it was important for us to study our future competitors, assess their level of preparation, and analyze our strengths and weaknesses based on the data obtained.”
