School No. 25 in Morteppa village in Hissar was named after Akbarali Sattorov, a famous Tajik journalist, former head of the Union of Journalists of the Republic.

Akbarali Sattorov is a native of the village of Morteppa, was born on February 10, 1965. In 1982, he graduated from secondary school No. 25 in this district and entered the Lenin State University at the Tajik branch of the Faculty of Philology.

In 1990 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Leningrad State University.

From August to November 1990, he worked as a special correspondent for the newspaper “Tojikistoni Sovieti”. From November 1990 to November 1994, he worked as a correspondent, and then as head of the Politics and Law department of “Sadoi Mardum” newspaper.

Since November 18, 1994, he has been the General Director of LLC “Charkhi Gardun”. In June 2006, he was elected Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Tajikistan. He held this post until the end of his life.

Akbarali Sattorov died on August 28, 2015.
