The leadership of the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of road safety with representatives of the Russian manufacturer of metal structures of road infrastructure – OJSC “Plant Prodmash”. The negotiations took place on September 5 in Dushanbe, according to the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The parties considered the possibilities of supplying “Prodmash” products to the Tajik market.

“During the meeting, the participants discussed the current state of road infrastructure in Tajikistan, as well as the need for high-quality and modern road fences to improve road safety,” – the message says.

The company presented its products, emphasizing their compliance with international quality and safety standards. The plant is ready to offer a wide range of road fences, including barrier, frontal, pedestrian, retaining walls, etc., which can be used for various types of roads and transport interchanges.

“We offer reliable and effective solutions to improve road safety, which in turn will reduce the number of road accidents,” – said Ekaterina Podkovyrova, head of the company's delegation.

She is confident that the company's products will be in demand in the Tajik market.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport expressed interest in cooperation with the company, noting the importance of using modern road barriers to ensure safety on the country's roads.

The Trade Representative of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan, Yevgeny Korenkov, stressed that Tajikistan is demonstrating a construction boom in cities, which is accompanied by the implementation of a large number of projects in urban agglomerations.

“The specific mountainous terrain causes limited connectivity of the territories, therefore, ensuring year-round transport accessibility of the central part of the republic with all regions through the development and reconstruction of highways, as well as the construction of tunnels is a strategically important factor for Tajikistan. In this regard, “Prodmash”-'s rich experience will be an invaluable resource for participating in the implementation of such projects in the country,” – he said.

In the near future, the parties will hold a number of additional meetings to discuss in detail aspects of cooperation, including pricing, supply and installation issues.

OJSC “Plant Prodmash” is a major Russian manufacturer of metal structures for the road sector, industrial construction and urban infrastructure. The company specializes in the development and production of products made of metals and composite materials for road and industrial construction, urban infrastructure, energy and agriculture. The production complex allows the company to produce more than 200 tons of galvanized steel structures per day.
