Over the 68 years of operation, the hydroelectric unit and other main equipment of the station have become outdated, its production capacity has decreased by 12 MW.

Since 2019, reconstruction work has begun at the facility, for more than 5 years, hydraulic units No. 4, 5 and 6 have been completely reconstructed, the capacity of each of them has been increased from 19 MW to 29 MW.

As part of the reconstruction project, part of the equipment of the engine room, turbine control apparatus, transformers, stimulating systems, water pressure apparatus, control system of hydraulic units, 6 transformers with a capacity of 40 MW, etc. were replaced.

Also, as part of the project, the dam of the station was strengthened, work on the analysis of old equipment at unit No. 2 was completed and 5 lifting cranes were reconstructed.

Currently, work is underway to collect parts of hydraulic unit No. 3, repair the bridge above the upper level of the station, the sewage part and work on the reconstruction of other parts of the engine room.

This enterprise produces up to 30 types of electric cables with a capacity from 450 volts to 1 kilovolt. These cables are intended for laying internal power lines of residential and administrative buildings.

Another workshop is capable of producing 60 thousand meters of rubber and corrugated hoses per month. It produces 7 types of rubber hoses with a diameter of 10 to 40 millimeters and 5 types of corrugated hoses with a diameter of 16 to 40 millimeters.
