Tajikistan ranked 123rd among 174 countries in the global AI readiness index, compiled by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).  The index evaluates factors such as digital infrastructure, human capital, technological innovation, and legal standards, using data from organizations like the World Bank, the International Labor Organization, and others.

Among Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan led the ranking at 48th place, followed by Kyrgyzstan (99th), Tajikistan (123rd), and Uzbekistan (131st).

Meanwhile, the Central African Republic, Afghanistan, and South Sudan ranked at the bottom of the list.

This ranking highlights the importance of investments in digital infrastructure and human capital for the successful integration of AI technologies into the economy and society.

Tajikistan became the first country in Central Asia to adopt a national artificial intelligence strategy, initiated by President Emomali Rahmon in September 2022.  This move marked a significant step in integrating AI technology into various sectors of the economy and public life.

Earlier, CBI and the Tajik company zypl.ai were recognized in two categories: Best AI in Risk and Best AI in Predictive Analytics.

The Tajik business sector is also actively adopting AI solutions, as seen in the growing number of AI-based products and services.

From simple mobile applications to powerful supercomputers and servers, AI is already contributing significantly to the development of various industries and creating new opportunities for businesses in Tajikistan.
