Tajikistan has decided to raise the rate of a calculating indicator (estimate) beginning on January 1, 2024.

The RT Law “On the National Budget for 2025”, in particular, notes that the calculating indicator will rise from 72.00 somonis to 75.00 somonis beginning on January 1, 2024.

Until 2019, the size of the calculating indicator had increased once every two years, and since 2019, it has increased annually.

Thus, in 2015-2016, the calculating indicator in Tajikistan amounted to 40.00 somonis, in 2017-2018 – 50.00 somonis, in 2019 – 55.00 somonis, in 2020 – 58.00 somonis, and in 2021 – 60.00 somonis.

The calculating indicator is set in the national budget taking into account the level of inflation forecast for the corresponding year.

In 2008, the calculating indicator replaced phrases “minimum wage” and “monthly minimum wage” in Tajikistan’s legislation.

At the time, the corresponding law on calculating indicator was adopted.

The calculating indicator is set in the national budget taking into account the level of inflation forecast for the corresponding year.

With the introduction of a new calculating indictor, the amounts of some taxes, duties, fines, mandatory payments and social allowances will change accordingly.  In particular, the amount of fee for alternative military service will also change.
