The Interior Ministry Criminal Investigation Department has announced a reward of 200,000 somonis for credible information that aids in solving two murders in Vahdat Township.

The Telegram channel "Akhbori VKD" (Interior Ministry News) reports that the first crime occurred on the night of December 6–7, 2024.

The victim, Mahmadi Hayoyev, born in 1974, was a resident of Bonkura village, which is subordinate to Vahdat Township. The murder was reportedly committed in his home at 229 Chuyangaron Street.

The second murder took place on December 5, 2024.  The victim was Tojiddin Olimov, born in 1948, a resident of Bahoriston village, which is subordinate to Vahdat Township.  The crime was reportedly committed in his home at 205 A. Abdulvosiyev Street.

Law enforcement authorities guarantee confidentiality for those who provide information about the crimes and will ensure the informants' safety.

According to data from the Interior Ministry, 4,711 serious crimes were registered in Tajikistan over the first eleven months of 2024, representing a 12.9-percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

In particular, compared to January-November 2023, the number of murders and attempted murders rose 34% in eleven months to November 30 last year.
