A new award for young researchers in Dushanbe, established by the city mayor, aims to recognize and support emerging talents in exact sciences, literature, journalism, arts, architecture, engineering, technology, innovation, and inventions.

According to the Dushanbe Department for Youth and Sports’ Affairs, the award is intended to acknowledge the achievements of young researchers, encourage their efforts, enhance creativity, and foster the development of scientific potential.  However, the prize amount has not been disclosed.

 

Award categories

  • Exact Sciences – Scientific and creative activities in the fields of natural, exact, and mathematical sciences.
  • Literature – Scientific, artistic, and literary works, including books, poetry, and other literary pieces.
  • Journalism – Articles, informational materials, TV and radio programs, news reports (priority is given to works related to the implementation of state youth policy).
  • ArtsVocal performance, dance, design, performing arts, educational paintings, portraits, landscapes, ornamentation, and other artistic works.
  • ArchitectureConstruction projects, cultural and recreational parks, youth centers, fountains, sports facilities, and other structures that align with Dushanbe's urban planning.
  • Engineering and Technology – Improvements in machinery, equipment, and construction, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, industrial productivity, import-substituting production, mitigating financial and economic crises, programming, and IT innovations (priority is given to database development, particularly in the youth sector).
  • Innovation and InventionImplementation of innovative solutions in human capital development, infrastructure, poverty reduction, safety, ecology, new teaching and research methods, and new material applications to replace existing ones.

 

This initiative aims to stimulate scientific and creative work among young professionals and promote technological and cultural advancements in Dushanbe.
