The Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan, in collaboration with relevant authorities, has launched a hotline to support foreign tourists and travel companies.

An official source within the Committee for Tourism Development told Asia-Plus in an interview that the aim of this initiative is to improve service quality and create favorable conditions for the development of tourism in the country.

Now, if tourists or travel companies encounter any issues or have questions, they can seek assistance by calling +992 118-200-200 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Outside of working hours, inquiries can be made in text form via WhatsApp and Telegram using the same number.

The launch of the hotline is a timely measure amid the growing tourist influx into the country, noted the Committee for Tourism Development.

In 2024, Tajikistan reportedly recorded a record increase in the number of tourists.  According to official data, 1,469,300 people visited the country last year, of which 1.4 million were tourists, a 16.7% increase compared to 2023.

Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development, emphasized the importance of creating effective conditions for serving foreign guests at a press conference on February 14.
