Following the special meeting of the Presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which took place in the Tajik northern city of Khujand yesterday, the ceremony of signing and exchanging the Protocol on the Exchange of Ratifications of the Treaty between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on Allied Relations took place, according to the Tajik president’s official website. 

This document was reportedly signed in the presence of the heads of state by the foreign ministers of the two countries. 

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Khujand on March 31 to take part in a trilateral meeting and negotiations among the heads of state of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and to attend the International Navrouz celebrations and other joint events.

The Uzbek president’s press service says Mirziyoyev's working visit to Tajikistan🇹🇯 concluded yesterday night and he was seen off at the airport by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
