On April 10, President Emomali Rahmon, and Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali, who is also the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament), opened the Jewelry Factory of China-Tajikistan Mining-Industry Company LLC in Dushanbe’s Sino district, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

Emomali Rahmon was reportedly told that the enterprise had been built on the area of 0.30 hectares and consists of a two-story gold sales center and jewelry workshops.

Upon commissioning of the enterprise, 60 residents of the capital have been provided with permanent jobs and salaries starting from 3,000 somonis.

The construction of the enterprise began in 2023.

At the enterprise's sales center, the head of state got acquainted with its products and highly appreciated the quality of work.

The work in the workshops is carried out using modern Chinese technology, and the gold processing capacity is 1 ton per year.

Here, workers also produce silver products, including jewelry, home decorations, and household items.

The silver workshop can process up to 30 tons of raw products per year.

Of the 23.8 million somonis spent on the construction of the enterprise, 15.5 million somonis were spent on the construction of workshops and more than 8 million somonis on the purchase of equipment and other necessary materials.

The president highly appreciated the entrepreneurs for implementing such an important measure.

As it was emphasized, the creation and operation of such a jewelry enterprise is a worthy initiative in the direction of developing the industry and providing citizens with permanent jobs.

After the opening of the jewelry factory here, President Emomali Rahmon laid the foundation stone for the construction of two new jewelry factories – the jewelry factory of TBEA Dushanbe Mining Industry Company LLC and the jewelry factory of Pakrut Company LLC.

It was reported that both factories in Dushanbe will be built with a project cost of 45 million somonis within one year, and they will provide jobs for more than 100 residents of Dushanbe, mainly women.
