The Republic of Tajikistan, expressing its deep concern over the escalation of the situation in the Middle East as a disregard for the universally recognized norms of international relations, strongly condemns the military strikes by Israel on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which resulted in numerous human casualties, says a statement released by Tajikistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 13.

“In this regard, the Republic of Tajikistan, expressing its sincere condolences and words of comfort to the families and friends of the victims and to all the brotherly people of Iran, once again emphasizes that negotiations and dialogue are the only acceptable way to resolve all conflicts and crises in the region.

“In this context, we call upon all parties to refrain from further military acts that could lead to detrimental consequences and, while respecting the basic principles of the UN Charter and other norms of international law, to take urgent measures to find peaceful solutions to the crisis.”
