Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhiddin participated in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations, which took place in Tianjin, China on July 14-15.  

According to the Tajik MFA information department, SCO foreign ministers held substantive discussions on the preparations for the upcoming meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State scheduled for autumn 2025, and exchanged views on the priority areas of cooperation between the SCO member states in the context of new realities, as well as on current international and regional issues.

In his speech, the top Tajik diplomat Sirojiddin Muhriddin reportedly presented Tajikistan's position on the topical issues on the SCO agenda with a focus on ensuring security and stability, sustainable economic development in the region and practical promotion of the Organization's improvement.

The meeting resulted in adoption of drafts of  the Tianjin Declaration of the Council of Heads of State and the SCO Development Strategy until 2035 as a basis and a number of decisions and joint statements.

Within the framework of the SCO Council of Foreign Minister's Meeting, the foreign ministers were received by President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.
