A press conference dedicated to the arrival of the international ROX Silk Road Tour caravan took place at the Asia-Plus news agency office in Dushanbe. The event brought together local media, bloggers, car experts, and participants of the tour — the ROX brand team traveling along the legendary Silk Road route.
The event was welcomed by the international auto holding company Vector, the official distributor of the ROX brand in Tajikistan, which provided organizational support for the local leg of the tour.
The press conference was part of a grand 90-day road trip, during which the premium ROX 01 hybrid SUVs are crossing Eurasia, showcasing next-generation sustainable mobility technologies.
During the meeting, caravan participants shared their impressions of the Tajik leg of the journey: breathtaking landscapes, challenging mountain routes, welcoming culture, and, of course, the reliability of the ROX 01, which performed excellently in the high-altitude conditions.
ROX 01: a Hybrid SUV for the future
The ROX 01 is an innovative hybrid SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) built with REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) technology. The vehicle's powertrain relies on electric propulsion, where the gasoline engine does not directly drive the wheels but serves as a generator that recharges the battery. This system provides a range of up to 1,338 km, combining the benefits of an electric car with the autonomy of a traditional internal combustion engine.
The total power output of the powertrain is 476 horsepower, allowing the ROX 01 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds while maintaining a smooth ride and low noise levels. The all-wheel drive with an intelligent torque distribution system ensures confident handling on mountain switchbacks, dirt roads, and in adverse weather conditions.
Inside, the ROX 01 offers a perfect blend of technology and premium comfort: natural materials, an advanced multimedia system with a 15-inch display, an intelligent voice assistant, and state-of-the-art safety systems. Over 20 electronic driver aids provide confidence behind the wheel, even in the most challenging conditions.
