Tajikistan has expressed its readiness to actively engage in digital and industrial cooperation within the BRICS framework.  The announcement was made by Khurshed Mirzo, Director of the Republic’s Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies (AIDT), during the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Forum held in Xiamen, China on September 16–17.

According to the Agency’s press service, Mirzo emphasized the critical role of international collaboration in building sustainable digital ecosystems, adopting advanced technologies, and attracting foreign investment.

He highlighted cross-border digital connectivity, public-private partnerships, and innovation as key pillars for industrial growth.

On the sidelines of the forum, Mirzo held bilateral meetings with Li Lecheng, China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Zhao Long, Governor of Fujian Province.

Discussions focused on cooperation in areas such as government cloud services, industrial digitalization, data infrastructure, and the semiconductor industry.

Mirzo extended an official invitation to the Chinese delegation to participate in the second international PLUS Forum "Digital Tajikistan," scheduled for October 13, 2025, in Dushanbe.

The participation of the Tajik delegation reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships, embracing technological innovation, and positioning itself as a hub for digital connectivity and innovation in Central Asia.

The BRICS forum, jointly organized by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People’s Government of Fujian Province, aimed to explore the potential of global cooperation for inclusive and sustainable industrial development.

Chinese media reports say the forum focused on showcasing the progress in implementing the important cooperation initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping at recent BRICS summits. It systematically reviewed the construction achievements of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center over the past five years.

The forum reportedly featured six sub-forums on smart manufacturing and robotics, new energy manufacturing, industrial design, the pharmaceutical industry, industrial technology innovation, and the digital industry ecosystem, releasing a series of practical outcomes.
