Tajikistan has successfully attracted more than US$3 billion in investments on the first day of the Dushanbe Invest–2025 International Investment Forum, held in the capital. The forum, which runs for three days, has become a major platform for strategic agreements and international partnerships.

According to the State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management of Tajikistan, 26 agreements were signed on October 14, with a combined value exceeding US$3 billion. The agreements are aimed at boosting key sectors of the economy, including energy, industry, innovation, artificial intelligence, and digitalization.

The main theme of the forum, “Green Investments: Opportunities Today for a Sustainable Future,” highlights Tajikistan’s strategic focus on developing an innovative, eco-friendly, and digital economy.

 

Key areas of investment:

  • Energy: 5 agreements totaling US$2.5 billion
  • Industry: 9 agreements worth US$386 million
  • Communications and Digitalization: 8 agreements totaling US$334 million
  • Public-Private Partnerships (PPP): 4 agreements worth US$8.9 million

 

Notable agreements

One of the most significant agreements on the first day was the licensing agreement between the Tajikistan Communications Service and Starlink Tajikistan (SpaceX). This partnership will grant Tajikistan access to Starlink’s global satellite internet network, marking a significant step toward enhancing the country’s digital infrastructure.

In the energy sector, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan signed three protocols and two memorandums of understanding with international companies. These agreements focus on the construction of solar and wind power plants and the implementation of educational projects in the field of renewable energy. The agreements aim to strengthen the country’s energy security and promote the development of renewable energy sources.

 

Regional and global participation:

The forum continues through October 16 at the Kokhi Vahdat conference hall in Dushanbe and is considered a key regional platform for promoting green investments, sustainable development, and digital transformation in Central Asia.

With over 1,000 delegates attending, the forum features representatives from governments, leading companies, financial institutions, and international organizations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
