Asia-Plus has been announced as the official media partner of AI Conf 2025, an international conference on artificial intelligence set to take place in Dushanbe on October 25. The partnership highlights a growing synergy between media and the tech sector and aims to promote innovation and private investment in Tajikistan.

Media and technology: joining forces for progress

The collaboration with AI Conf 2025 is part of Asia-Plus’s broader strategy to support initiatives that drive economic growth and technological advancement in the country. Over more than two decades, Asia-Plus has become one of Tajikistan’s leading independent media outlets, covering business, technology, and social change.

Umed Babakhanov, founder of Asia-Plus, emphasized the significance of the partnership for the country’s future: “Today, no business sector—from finance and tourism to media and hospitality—can thrive without embracing new technologies. The rise of artificial intelligence is the defining tech trend of our time. At Asia-Plus, we not only integrate AI into our operations but also actively report on its development. Our participation in AI Conf 2025 is a natural step aligned with this strategy. We believe this forum will give a strong push to AI development in Tajikistan and the broader region.”

AI Conf 2025: debuting in Dushanbe

AI Conf 2025 is being held for the first time in Tajikistan, organized by the Council on Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, in partnership with zypl.ai and Area AI, and initiated by the Government of Tajikistan.

The event will bring together representatives from government agencies, international tech companies, research institutions, and investors. It is expected to become a key platform for discussing the future of AI and Central Asia’s role in the global digital landscape.

Notable projects to be showcased include SoroLLM, a Tajik-language large language model, and darya.ai, a data cluster powered by renewable energy.

Bridging media and the future

Asia-Plus’s partnership with AI Conf 2025 underscores the media group’s commitment to supporting initiatives that foster knowledge, technology, and open dialogue about the future.
