Dushanbe police have detained a group of foreign nationals who were found to be violating the country's immigration laws.

According to the press center of the Dushanbe Police Directorate, the individuals were engaged in various illegal activities, including begging, deceiving citizens, and practicing fortune-telling and witchcraft within the capital city.

The Dushanbe Police Directorate confirmed that the necessary materials were collected, and the individuals involved were subsequently deported from the Republic of Tajikistan. The authorities emphasized that such activities undermine public order and are strictly prosecuted under the law. Citizens are advised to report any similar activities immediately to the police.

In a related case, Dushanbe police earlier detained 24-year-old Gill Dawood, a citizen of Pakistan, on suspicion of fraud. Dawood had been promising vulnerable individuals assistance in obtaining visas to European countries.

Police reports indicated that Dawood collected money from individuals, assuring them of quick visa processing. However, he failed to deliver on his promises, instead appropriating the funds for personal use. He was apprehended following complaints from several defrauded citizens.
