In a major step forward for bilateral relations, Tajikistan and the United States signed a series of cooperation agreements worth more than $3.2 billion during bilateral meetings held as part of the Second Central Asia–United States (C5+1) Summit in Washington.

The U.S. Department of State published a list of the signed deals, noting that these agreements are expected to generate billions of dollars in U.S. exports and create thousands of American jobs.

Aviation

Tajikistan announced its intention to purchase 14 Boeing aircraft and related aviation systems in a landmark deal valued at $3.2 billion. The agreement was signed between Tajikistan’s privately-owned air carrier Somon Air and Boeing. The U.S. State Department described the deal as a move that will "strengthen trust in American aerospace technology."

Critical minerals

A $32.5 million agreement was signed between the Government of Tajikistan and the U.S. firm Transparent Earth. The deal includes technical assistance and the use of remote sensing technologies to enhance efficiency in Tajikistan’s mining and agriculture sectors.

Digital modernization

Tajikistan also entered into strategic and licensing agreements with Starlink to expand the country’s digital infrastructure. The goal is to provide reliable internet access even in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Artificial intelligence

A groundbreaking agreement between Perplexity AI and Tajik firm zypl.ai will introduce the world’s first AI-powered agent browser tailored for government use. The initiative aims to boost Tajikistan’s innovation capacity, regional influence, and AI-driven policy-making.

AI infrastructure and energy

SuperMicro, Cerebris, and zypl.ai will collaborate to build AI-driven data center infrastructure in Tajikistan. This project is supported by Tajikistan’s commitment to generate 1 GW of hydropower, laying the groundwork for the country to become a regional hub for high-tech solutions.

Manufacturing investment

Coca-Cola announced a $9 million investment to expand its production facility in Dushanbe. The move is expected to increase output and strengthen the presence of American products in the Tajik market.

Strengthening strategic ties

The agreements come just days after the November 6 bilateral talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. The leaders confirmed their commitment to deeper cooperation in critical minerals, digital connectivity, and aviation modernization.

During the summit, both sides emphasized the importance of boosting trade, economic ties, and investment flows. Currently, more than 70 companies with American capital are operating in Tajikistan, underlining a growing U.S. business footprint in the region.
