The "Khatlon Invest-2025" international business forum has officially opened today in Bokhtar, the capital of Khatlon province, marking the beginning of a two-day event. The forum has gathered representatives from international financial institutions and businesses from Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Iran, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, China, Turkiye, as well as local and foreign entrepreneurs.

The main goal of the forum is to introduce investors to the opportunities available in the Khatlon province, creating a platform for business networking and the signing of joint projects and agreements.

The forum's agenda includes two key panel discussions. The first will focus on investment for sustainable regional development, digitization, and partnerships with the private sector, while the second will address the development of the value chain in agriculture, the import and processing of agricultural products in the Khatlon province.

Additionally, the forum will discuss mechanisms for attracting investment into agro-industrial sectors, free economic zones, tourism, logistics infrastructure, and access to new markets. Attendees will also participate in a tour of industrial enterprises in Bokhtar, Kulob, Nurek, and the Danghara Free Economic Zone (FEZ).

It is expected that several key cooperation agreements between local and international companies will be signed during the forum. These documents will cover areas such as agro-industry, local product processing, and infrastructure development. The forum will serve as an important milestone in strengthening business and economic ties, as well as attracting direct foreign investments to the Khatlon province.

A special focus will be given to integrating new technologies into agro-industry, improving logistics infrastructure, which in turn would help create new jobs and enhance the competitiveness of local products. The development of tourism and ecological initiatives will also be a major theme, aiming to make the Khatlon province even more attractive to investors.

An exhibition of products and services from local producers will also take place as part of the forum, providing participants with the opportunity to learn more about the region's potential and investment opportunities.

The "Khatlon Invest-2025" forum builds on the success of last year's forum, where over 30 cooperation agreements were signed, totaling $200 million. The 2024 forum became a vital platform for exchanging experiences, exploring mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities, and strengthening trade and economic ties between the Khatlon region and international partners.
